A Visit to Saudi Arabia Proves To Be Historic
The State visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia has come to an end.
On August 17, the Leader of Uzbekistan held talks with the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. As a result, a Joint statement on further expansion of full-scale partnership, as well as 15 documents on cooperation in the fields of energy, customs, civil aviation, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, and labor relations were adopted.
On August 18, the meetings were held with the leaders of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Islamic Development Bank and the Saudi businesspeople.
A particularly significant event of the visit was a visit to Mecca and Medina.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev left Jeddah for Tashkent on the night of August 19.
