The Treaty on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan has entered into force

Following the negotiations, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the heads of the foreign affairs ministries signed a Protocol and exchanged instruments of ratification, officially bringing the Treaty on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan into force.
The treaty was signed during the high-level bilateral summit on April 18 last year in Dushanbe.
The document comes into effect from the date of the exchange of ratification instruments.
