The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda

On April 3, on the sidelines of the Samarkand summit, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan expressed special satisfaction with the fruitful trilateral meeting of the heads of state held on March 31 in the city of Khujand, during which the historic Agreement on the Border Junction Points was signed.
The discussion focused on the practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level, particularly measures to accelerate the realization of important cooperation projects in the fields of industry, transport, energy, and infrastructure.
The heads of state emphasized the need to continue active interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.
An exchange of opinions also took place regarding the schedule of upcoming events and other relevant issues of regional cooperation.
