To the members of the Uzbekistan U-17 national football team

Dear children,

On behalf of our people and myself, I sincerely congratulate you on your great achievement — winning the Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia through your successful participation in the prestigious U-17 national teams tournament.

With determination and purpose, you played the entire tournament without a single defeat, bravely defending the honor of our Homeland and achieving a record result, undoubtedly writing a new golden page in the history of our national football.

It is especially commendable that in the intense final match against the hosts — the very strong team of Saudi Arabia — you courageously fought on with only nine players against eleven, showing true resilience and a strong will to win.

It is worth noting that three of our talented players received individual awards at the end of the tournament: Nematillo Rustamjonov was named the best goalkeeper, Asilbek Aliyev — the top scorer, and Sadriddin Khasanov — the best player of the tournament.

Our people see you as bright representatives of the youth of the New Uzbekistan, full of high aspirations and capable of reaching the greatest heights, and are rightfully proud of you.

I express my sincere gratitude to you, your parents, and your mentors for this historic victory — yet another practical result of the great attention being paid to the development of sports, including football, in our country.

I am confident that, inspired by this victory, you — as champions of Asia — will perform with honor at the World Cup this November in Qatar.
