"Hazarasp" Special Economic Zone in the Khorezm Region
The "Hazarasp" Special Economic Zone is located in the Khorezm region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the border with Turkmenistan. The total area of the zone is 366.4 hectares, of which 168.9 hectares are available for investment projects. The zone's territory covers five districts of the Khorezm region: Urgench (5.2 ha), Hazarasp (254.9 ha), Tuproqqala (83.2 ha), Yangibazar (15 ha), and Bagat (7.5 ha).
Residents of the zone are granted tax exemptions for up to 10 years, depending on the volume of investment. Corporate income tax exemption is granted for 3 to 10 years for investments ranging from 3 to 15 million USD or more. Exemption from land tax, property tax, and water tax is granted for 3 to 10 years for investments ranging from 0.3 to 10 million USD or more.
The zone benefits from a favorable logistical location at the crossroads of key regional transport routes. Distances to major markets are as follows: Iran — 1,445 km, Kazakhstan — 1,355 km, Russia — 1,865 km, China — 2,885 km, and Europe — 3,856 km.
The zone's infrastructure includes an electricity supply of 35 MW, natural gas supply of 15,000 m³/hour, water supply of 9,000 m³/hour, as well as a developed road network of 10 km, proximity to an airport (40 km), and railway infrastructure.
