Shavkat Mirziyoyev: actual needs of people ought to shape our plans
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in the Andijan region.
The head of state started his trip to the province with familiarization with the activities of Xon Tex City limited liability company in the city of Khanabad.
For many years, Khanabad used to be a closed town with underdeveloped manufacturing industry. Many facilities here were neglected. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visiting the city on 2 June 2017, got acquainted with the socio-economic conditions and elaborated measures for a radical improvement of the situation.
To this end, a program was devised for the integrated development of the city of Khanabad in 2017-2019. It includes more than 3.2 thousand projects, and 500 billion soums were allocated. As a result, many enterprises were put into operation, the locals were provided with job.
The facilities of the automobile enterprise №4 in the Anhor mahalla were inactive for many years, too. Its buildings and territory thus were granted to entrepreneurs at a “zero” cost, and the latter were provided with organizational and financial support. Now, the area is home to 13 enterprises employing a total of 685 people.
One of them is Xon Tex City LLC. Commissioned last year, the company manufactures 50 types of ready-made clothing in more than 300 models. It is planned to export products for 500 thousand dollars a year. Crucially, about 300 unemployed women are now recruited here.
The head of our state got acquainted with the conditions at the enterprise, and talked with workers.
“All our actions, decrees and resolutions are built around the goal of improving the lives of our people, creating the foundation for our children’s future. The changes that have taken place here, and that you are satisfied with life, make me happy. The objective of the current trip to Andijan region is to draw up plans proceeding from the real needs of people, and take measures to ensure they are executed properly,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev insisted.
