Uzbek students in Poland widely celebrated Nowruz.

The Nowruz celebration, attended by students from Uzbekistan, was held at the Vistula University in Warsaw. The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland in collaboration with the "Vatandoshlar" public foundation.

The purpose of the event was to promote Uzbekistan's cultural heritage, strengthen interethnic dialogue, and develop friendly relations between students of different nationalities.
The ceremony was attended by the university rector, Professor Wawrzyniec Konarski, representatives of the university administration, the dean’s office, faculty members, as well as over 150 students from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries. The celebration was also joined by fellow citizens studying at WSB University, Lazarski University, Warsaw University, and Lodz University.
In his speech, the university rector emphasized the significance of Nowruz as a symbol of joy, hope, national identity, and the preservation of traditions and culture. He congratulated all participants on the arrival of spring and expressed support for initiatives aimed at promoting national values among students.
During the event, the guests learned about the culture of the Uzbek people and the traditions of celebrating Nowruz in Uzbekistan. Uzbek artists performed songs and melodies, and guests also enjoyed dishes from Uzbek national cuisine.
A quiz on the history, significance, and traditions of Nowruz, as well as various competitions, enlivened the event, inspiring participants to strive for victory. The most resourceful were awarded commemorative prizes.
Student associations from Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Azerbaijan also presented their traditions of celebrating Nowruz, which helped strengthen mutual understanding and cultural exchange. The celebration became a symbol of unity among Turkic and other peoples.
European students who participated in the celebration noted that the event helped them engage with regional culture, learn many new and interesting things, and communicate with their peers from Central Asia.
The leadership of Vistula University expressed readiness to continue supporting student initiatives and creating space for cultural events.
