Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan considered topical issues of practical cooperation

On April 3, on the sidelines of the summit in the city of Samarkand, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Topical issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed in the context of the agreements reached during the recent informal meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Almaty.
The importance of taking coordinated measures by the governments of the two countries to increase trade, promote economic projects and humanitarian programs, including at the regional level, was noted.
It was agreed to speed up work on the launch of the International Centre for Industrial Cooperation.
An exchange of views on the regional agenda also took place, the schedule of events at the highest level was considered.
