Tanzila Narbayeva has been elected President of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union

The 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union continues its work in the capital.

One of the main goals of the Inter-Parliamentary Union is to promote the development of relations between parliaments and to unite them for joint efforts in strengthening peace and cooperation.

Today, within the framework of the Assembly, a meeting of the Governing Council was held. It was chaired by the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tulia Ackson.

In accordance with the agenda of the event, an organizational matter was considered. A proposal was put forward to elect the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, as President of the 150th anniversary Assembly, and the members of the Governing Council unanimously elected T. Narbayeva to the position.
