The Greater Poland Voivodeship is interested in developing interregional cooperation with Uzbekistan

The Greater Poland Voivodeship is located in the western part of Poland and borders Germany. This region of Poland has well-developed industries including energy, chemical, electrical engineering, construction, as well as furniture and food production, transportation and communication sectors, agriculture, and education.
The diplomats became acquainted with the economic and scientific potential of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in the fields of new technologies, small and medium-sized businesses, modern research and innovation solutions, and also discussed the establishment of cooperation between the diplomatic corps and companies from this region.
During the visit, separate meetings were held with the Deputy Marshals (Governors) of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Jacek Bogusławski and Wojciech Jankowiak, where the establishment of interregional cooperation between this region of Poland and the Andijan region, as well as the organization of business missions on mutually agreed terms, were discussed.
The Polish side was informed about the large-scale reforms underway in our country, the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Polish cooperation, interregional relations, and the economic and investment potential of the New Uzbekistan, particularly of the Andijan region.
The diplomats also met with the mayor of the "green" energy city of Konin, Witold Nowak, and the president of the Konin Regional Development Agency, Maciej Sytek. The negotiations considered the possibility of establishing sister-city relations between Konin and one of the cities in the Andijan region.
In addition, as part of the opening ceremony of the international exhibition “NetZero Energy and H2POLAND,” held in the administrative center of the Greater Poland Voivodeship – Poznań, the diplomats met with the president of the company “MTP Group,” Tomasz Kobierski, the director of the Institute of Automotive and Aviation Engineering of the Poznań University of Technology, Andrzej Ziółkowski, the president of the Polish Chamber of Importers and Exporters and head of the company “ITA Sp. z o.o.,” Andrzej Liko. As a result of the talks, preliminary agreements were reached on promising joint projects and programs through the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation.
