Sergey Lavrov arrived in Samarkand on an official visit

As part of the visit, Sergey Lavrov will meet with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and hold talks with the head of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia will discuss a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues, including current topics of strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tashkent, regional security, and cooperation within international organizations.
The agenda will also include issues of Eurasian integration and preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The talks in Samarkand will also address other topics, as Uzbekistan and Russia are actively cooperating in trade, energy, science, and humanitarian fields. In particular, the meetings are expected to focus on labor migration, including its legal aspects and measures for pre-migration preparation.
