The President of Uzbekistan met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary

The meeting focused on further developing Uzbek-Hungarian strategic partnership relations, including interparliamentary cooperation.
The parties noted with satisfaction the intensity of mutual visits and meetings between parliamentary delegations of the two countries. In April of this year, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly János Latorcai took part in the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Tashkent. By the end of the year, visits to Uzbekistan are planned by the Deputy Speaker and the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs of Hungary, as well as a visit by a parliamentary delegation from Uzbekistan to Budapest.
Particular attention was given to the importance of facilitating the implementation of signed agreements, enhancing the activities of friendship groups, and establishing contacts between relevant committees—primarily to exchange legislative experience in areas such as regional development, social protection, taxation, and digitalization.
