The Prime Minister of Italy visited the Registan ensemble and the "Eternal City" ethnopark

Upon arriving in our country for an official visit, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, accompanied by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the architectural ensemble of Registan.
The world-renowned Registan Square, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is the main symbol of our country, reflecting the creative potential of our great ancestors. The ensemble, which includes the madrasahs of Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor, and Tillya-Kori, impresses visitors with its scale, rich history, and unique architecture.
The distinguished guest was thoroughly acquainted with the historical facts of the construction of this gem of Eastern architecture, the features of its architectural solutions and decorations, significant events and personalities connected to this place, as well as the cultural heritage of the Uzbek people.
Next, the leaders visited the historical and ethnographic park “Eternal City” located within the international tourist center “Silk Road Samarkand.” They viewed exhibits showcasing the rich cultural heritage of our people, including craftsmanship and applied arts. A cultural program featuring performances by choreographic ensembles was also presented.
